I get 1-2 hours a day, if I’m lucky and if my husband can watch her.
We make a point of hiring a sitter once a week to give me a 4 hour stretch to get work done.
Plenty of women have babies in grad school, but I’m glad I waited until I was done. A baby and a husband is more than a 40 hour a week job.

I spend almost all day taking care of my son since that’s my first I am just sometimes too overprotective sometimes I don’t even have time to eat or take a shower cause he’s always crying and especially if he’s just so uncomfortable it drives me nuts cause I don’t know what’s wrong with him.

I get the time that she is asleep (3-4 hours a day) during which I do the washing, cooking and cleaning. I also get the time that I sleep at night. That’s it.
To answer your question, yes it will be possible to continue your education, but you will need help. I am going back to Uni (through corrospondence) next month, my 5 month old (will be 6 months by then) will be going in to childcare 2 days per week so I can do my work. If you think it will be too hard, finnish your course first and THEN have children, it’s easier to get it out of the way first than have to struggle to do it with a baby later.

To be completely honest, you will have to choose one or the other for probably the first 3 months at least. Either you will care for your little one with the undivided attention she deserves, or you will do schoolwork. Finish your schooling, then have the baby or vice versa – Don’t cheat yourself and your family out of the time that is so precious and so necessary – I’m sure you will be just as wonderful a mom in a couple years as you would be right now
